JULY 2010 NEWSLETTER

June was a great month with the soccer kicking off and all the spirit in SA is amazing.
We had the following successful events in June 2010 with nice soccer fever
Vit-T-Go MTB Super Series was held on the 16th June 2010 (Public Holiday) we had a amazing race at Babas Lodge. Please have a look at your results on our website www.francosport.co.za or www.spectrumsport.co.za
Mini Man Offroad Duathlon Series on 20 June was a bigger race than the 1st Race this year. We hope to have a lot more athletes this coming month. Results available on www.francosport.co.za

JUNE 2010 NEWSLETTER

We had a few great events in May 2010!
Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon Series: The Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon Series event in Johannesburg at Northern Farm, was an excellent event! The route wasn’t as tough and technical as it was in Cape Town last month. Remember you can look at the results on www.spectrumsport.co.za
Vit-T-Go MTB Super Series: The weather this month was better than in April, it was sunny and a wonderful day for the athletes on the Mountain Bike route. What a fantastic race! We never took the 12km times but from this event and future events we will be taking these results. Results are available on www.spectrumsport.co.za or www.francosport.co.za
Mini Man Offroad Duathlon Series: This was a VERY small race, but definitely had every single athlete talking. The routes are marvelous as it is tough but not that tough! We are trying to get the event to grow more, so hopefully we have a lot more athletes doing the race in June! Results available on www.francosport.co.za

Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon Series
The Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon Series event in Cape Town, was beautiful! The event took place at Zevenwacht Wine Estate, what a beautiful and amazing venue. The route was quite tough and very technical as it was an off road Duathlon. Even the Top Athletes had a hard time doing the race! I will have pictures on the website of the race soon. Also you can look at the results on www.spectrumsport.co.za
Vit-T-Go MTB Super Series
Once again we had quite a big race at Babas Lodge this month at our event on the 25th April 2010. It was quite cold and rainy but that didn’t keep many of the Mountain bikers in their beds. It was really fun as the route were muddy and slippery and afterwards everyone parked their bikes at the Bike Wash Park!

We trust that you had a successful February! We would like to share some of our interests with you and we would like your positive or negative feedback.We would like to recap all our events from January up until the now and give some more information on the upcoming events in March and April.
We had the following Vit-T-Go Mountain Bike Races at Babas Lodge :
10 January 2010 – A great kick off into the New Year, it was a lovely race. There were about 500 participants. Remember to bring your kids with, there is a nice 1km Race for the Kiddies and a 12km Race for the 12 year olds and younger, where the first 3 boys and girls get a prize.
14 February 2010 – Valentines Race. We had a lovable day at the race, everyone enjoyed it, the atmosphere were so great with all the participants and their supporting partners, families and friends. This is really a family event, where everyone can participate! Our next Mountain Bike is 14 March 2010. Same time, same place! For more info please visit Cycle Lab and remember to pre-enter, then you receive a free T-shirt!

Our next Vit-T-Go Mountain Bike Super Series Race is on 14th March 2010 (this coming Sunday) @ Babas Lodge.

We also organized the Dis-Chem Ride for Sight on 21 February 2010:
Event Type: Road Cycling
Venue: Boksburg City Stadium, Jubilee Road, Boksburg
Distances: 116km and 63km
Starting Time: 06h15 (116km), 08h00 (63km)
The weather on race day was perfect. The particular route is very popular amongst cyclist. It’s quite a tough route and gets tougher in windy conditions. It was a special win for Christoff (new SA Champion).
This year’s first road event of the Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon kicked off at Roodeplaat Dam on Sunday the 7th March 2010.This was a great venue once again. The competition was very big for Brand du Plessis (2009 Momentum Health Teavigo Series Winner) and Erhard Wolfhaardt (2009 Energade Series Winner), where Erhard came first in the Open Category. Andrea Steyn (2009 Momentum Health Teavigo Series Winner) came first in the Open Category with Carlyn Fischer second.
The event will be broadcasted on Super Sport and the results can be seen on www.spectrumsport.co.za
Our next Momentum Health i-Flex National Duathlon Series is in Cape Town at the Zevenwach Wine Estate on the 18th April 2010 and it’s an off road event. Pre-Entries opened on www.entrytime.com
